Default Is this corporate social responsibility?

I have been bemused by companies making attempts to show off their corporate social responsibility (CSR). On one hand, it has been a breath of fresh air to see for-profit entities try to return their profits to society. But on the other hand, some of these CSR projects can do more harm than help those marginalised by their profit-taking.

Free enterprise corporations operate under a delusionary presumption that economic growth can and must proceed forever to keep on producing greater profits for the growing wealth and power of corporate executives who visualize growing their empire out into the Cosmos by finding other planets to conquer and exploit. But the profits necessary to accomplish that would not be possible if they were required to safely recycle 100 % of the enormous tonnage of garbage, junk, sludge, waste chemicals, smoke and fumes their factories and products emit every day. So, the planet's limited ability to absorb it all means planetary death will occur well before any successful exploration of space. But they are insulated from that reality by their passion for always more wealth and power, an addiction they are helpless to break, apparently.

Corporate officers should watch this documentary, then see how they can transition to a steady state environmental economy.
