    Default Older cars of steam engine, a green car?

    Hello friends, i need a suggestion.

    Cars of those days were running under steam engine in very first. These cars uses steam for its running. can these cars be called as one of the green cars?

    In my opinioin, not if the fuel used to create massive amounts of steam to power the engine is non-renewable. Green energy is usually referred to as energy that are renewable. Examples of sources of renewable energy are solar, wind and water, to name a few.

    But maybe it cab be considered as on if it's not spewing out those fumes that contribute the greenhouse effect?

    Yeah, maybe not totally a green car, but "greener" or more environment friendly if the gases it emits that contribute to the greenhouse effect are lower. Hybrid cars are still too expensive in my opinion.
