We saw those electric ones and they worked well but were no good for our green all solar home. We use a tankless piezo ignition propane hot water on demand unit that we installed ourselves and bought wholesale. Our wood stove is backup for heating water and cooking. We also use a sun oven in summer.
copper pipes on the inside? .. we run diy pos heaters, flame gel stove/fireplaces for heat, but then again i'm in florida so my need for heat is low.. its almost january and it still is high 70's... Plants give off heat too so the house is packed full of those

so VAL neat stuff, we took thermal readings of plants inside the homes because not a lot is written about plant's heat output. Turns out a lot of the phytoremediating indoor plants we have give off a tremendous amount of heat. They also give off most of the heat from the core so we know its the plants and not just mass storage. We're writing a great article on the subject should be done soon. From what we found tho its not realistic because it would take a lot of plants to heat a room to temp in large temp swings
