i haven't the finance yet to invest in a solar power system on the roof,and i would probably invest in a wind turbine in a few years first due to our climate,but i have been able to avail of clean, free energy with little micro portable solar panals to charge my moblie, mp3 and small laptop. They are also handy for camping. Try googleing "Solar Gorilla" to see if you can source it in each of your own countries to avoid shipping costs and carbon footprint. i got mine from across the water from Britain.
