Arrow Going Green Project

I am currently enrolled in a course in which I research and fieldwork any topic of my choosing. During this time I will also be creating a final pretension of my studies and accomplishments. For my project I plan on going green. I want to learn how to live a lifestyle that saves energy and resources while helping the environment. My essential question being: What can I change in my lifestyle to reduce my use of resources and affect the environment in a positive way? I am passionate in my choice of going green and believe that what I find will help myself and others form a healthier planet. Earth is already in a crisis because of pollution and overuse of natural resources and if people continue this path of over-consumption there will be serious consequences. My goals in this project include observing daily tasks such as brushing my teeth, taking a shower, and driving to school to see how many resources I waste. Then I will change how I perform these tasks and record how my resource consumption changes and how this may impact the environment. I also want to observe my hometown to see if any measures are being taken to be more energy efficient and what can be done to make the community more environmentally friendly. I am very excited to see what I am going to learn and achieve in my quest of going green.

Any thoughts, ideas, or additions that could benefit my project would be much appreciated!
