Geo thermal energy
The concept of geothermal energy is interesting. It relies on the heat which is being pressured into the earth's mantle region. Volcanic regions are great opportunities for extracting Geo thermal energy.
One of the best example of Geo thermal energy generation is Iceland. I think more investments and technologies have to be invented in order to fully harness this type of green energy.
Our house has a geothermal heating and cooling system. In winter, it takes the warmth from the gound and delivers it into the house, and in summer, it takes the heat out of the house and takes it out to the ground. It works great and uses only a little electricity.
