Has anyone tried these "make your own solar panel/ wind energy?"

I've seen ads like this one
make power at home
all over the internet, and I'm definitely tempted to test it out. They range from around 50 to just under a 100 dollars and they promise to teach you how to build your own solar panel or wind mill very cheaply. They also promise that the energy you generate will be enough to power your entire house. What can I say... I'm skeptical, but I'd love to reduce my electric bill and my carbon footprint at the same time. So, I'm asking if anyone out there's tried something like this, and if so did it work?

Do you know, I would be a little skeptical too, I mean if it were that easy, solar compaines would go out of business.

I don't believe you could possibly make your own solar panels, particularly to power your entire home.

I think, its impossible to make a solar panel arrangements for $100 that can be used for the entire home.

Because, we don't get solar panels of more than 12V 300mA. for $100

Well I have not tried it yet.But if you let me know the method definitely I will try it and let you know.
