When will the USA get serious with green energy incentatives?
Even with our 30% tax credit for solar upgrades on our home and business sites this is not enough. Places in Europe are ahead of the US and pushing for more. By the year 2050 Germany will have at least 25% of their power by solar.

I think it starts with us - the consumers, to learn and do all we can to become less dependent on the energy companies...and at the same time, let our voices be heard in Washington.

I don't believe that just waiting on the government for more help will be very effective, though.

I agree that incentives are powerful and positive - and perhaps the more of us who pursue green technology for it's own sake, the more Washington will sit up and take notice. Maybe.

At the very least, it empowers us to so the research and implement what we can - regardless of assistance. In the short and long run, we will be saving energy and becoming more self-sufficient - and that's a good thing, in my opinion.
