    Default Recycling Electronics

Give cell phones, ipod back to their manufacturers, electronic stores, donate them to charity, or sell them as parts

i know that they have this program in the UK, there you dont have to go local, everything is done by mail delivery.

as always you have to choose them carefully and know that this toxic electronics going to a good company who will handle them the right way and dont use them only to make big money.

There are schemes around at the moment where you can get money for your old mobile telephone. I don't know if it is just restricted to the UK or not, but it would be a shame if it were.

i believe there are local places. you have to search a bit i guess.

i think instead of giving these electronics to charity, it's good to give them back to manufacturers. what will charities do with a damaged electronic device?

    Default Returning used cell phones

I just got a new blackberry and in the packet, company has provided the details to return/recycle the old cell phone. I do the same thing with my HP printer ink cartridge. They send the label to send the used cartridge at a specified recycling plant. Just to let you know that there was no additional cost, as the cost of recycle is already built in buying a new cell phone/cartridge.

Check out this site: 1-800-Recycling | Search for Recycling Centers, Green News and Tips Choose what you want to recycle (in this case electronics), enter your zip code and then it comes up with recycling centers near you that recycle electronics. I am not sure if they post international locations, but write to them because they may be interested in expanding there if they haven't already. Maybe that helps?
