A pretty landscape, that's also ecology

The ecology it’s also the view, The scenic, The landscape.
In the countryside, often we sit on the top of an hill, and we watch the landscape.
Or we sit in a bus or in a car and we appreciate the landscape.

In Switzerland for example, there is a government control.
If someone built an house and don’t decorated it well, then the government will
force him to paint his house. His neighbor also will criticize him.
He is forced to show a pretty house, well decorated.
The government give a subsidy for the people who decorated well their house.
Ok in switzerland the farmers also decorated the cows. And recieve money for that.

It’s very important. We must keep our houses pretty. it's belong to the landscape,
It's an important part of it.
hundred thousands of people watch your village or your city.

And in the countryside, if the houses have pretty decoration,
That will attract many tourists.
Humans houses make the landscape also.
That help a lot. People of this countryside will have a good mood everyday, if they
enjoy a pretty landscape, made of lush nature and well decorated houses.

If the tourists see many houses not completely built, not decorated, or abandon
houses, they will not come back.
This countryside will not attract so many people.
And the local people will try to move to others places better decorated.

Tourism is a heavy polluter of CO2. Driving around, or using jets to go to distant places, all produce un-necessary CO2. Pretty houses and yards are nice, and so is the countryside free from large amounts of people, or with none at all. If it can be done by bicylce, or with sails, or electric vehicles, fine.

This is a great thread because we all love things that a beautiful (whether it's built by the Earth or by us) and we all like to see new and interesting things. I think there is a real opportunity to explore 'alternative' ways of getting around ( of being a tourist) and that it can make the whole process of being on holidays all that more interesting and maybe a bit challenging too. Good points made by Val and you both have me thinking. Thanks for writing.

Ok we agree, you and me we want a planet in good condition.
We must live according to our modern time also.
If people flight one or two times a year, for going on holliday, the nature will accept it.
I think, Nature like humans happy on hollidays. One bus tour, one or two flights.

But my experience, it's buisiness men, and industry white collar workers who are responsible for our plane overuse sitation.
What i have seen in companies.
This people they use plane 50 times a year.
and for what? often not important things. Just Visit a client, or repair a little things in a assembly line.
And show off to the familly. I m an important man, or women. I flight often.
Yes the planet get polluted because of this ""youpies like"" behaviours.

Must criticizise badely this people and mocke this people. Selfish behaviors. Planet must not be endangered because of a show off things.

We have the web cam now. They could do most of this things with a good web cam, from their office.
This people are responsible of the planes overuse.
Tourists : two flight a year, mother nature will absorb it without any problems.

CateF i wanted to say the same.

Are you like me?
Sometimes i think environments protection artikels forget this part.
To theory science oriented.
What our eyes see it's so important.
You visit greece, you see this country not that rich. But so many houses painted, white blue. many stone paths. simple to do, just need willingness.

Their is no need of science for this landscape improvement. Houses should be decorated, because millions of people watch it within one year.

Also i have seen in some country something very ugly.
The governement or the locals people, start to dig the basement of a house, or the basement of a factory, and they never built the factory.
Remain a ugly square, with mud and concrete in the middle of the grasseland.
Many of this digging places. Many of this houses half construted and never finished.
That's ugly. You eyes get sad after seeing many of them.
Landscape is damage.

Should be good if the government or the mayor say 4 months for building your house.
We don't want to see a mud and concrete pile during two years.

The nature well preserved, mixed with pretty houses, or pretty railway bridges. rivers with natural flow. No concrete walls along the rivers. No dams. That's something.

A pretty landscape, that's also ecology
