The Hilton Pensacola Beach Gulf Front has been designated as the first "green hotel" in Escambia County by the Florida Green Lodging Program.
The designation indicates the hotel follows strict environmental guidelines designed to conserve natural resources and prevent pollution.
The program looks at hotels' performance in five areas: communication, water conservation, energy efficiency, waste reduction and clean air practices.

I checked online the beach Pensacola, wow it is really cool there, they are preserving the green and most people who stayed there are willing to come back for a vacation..i love to dream being able to go there one day..

THis is a great achievement for Hilton hotel. I think they should include this achievement in their marketing campaign. And every hotel in this world should try to get such awards this will help to save our environment in one form or other.

Yes, this would be a very good marketing move for any hotel, restaurant or business. With more people becoming environment-conscious, more customers will choose such business over their competition. Good job Hilton!

Did you know that of the entire Earth's water supply, less than 2% of it is fresh water, and only about 1% is drinkable (the rest is frozen)? It is this precious 1% that is responsible for practically all life on earth. While it may not seem to be cause for alarm to use water indiscriminately, because it is so readily available, fresh water is not in unlimited supply. It is both environmentally responsible and financially beneficial for all of us to do what we can to reduce our wasteful water use. By installing products like an Oxygenics Showerhead or a Titan Tankless Water Heater, you can save thousands of gallons of water annually.

I think they have more environmental sustainable projects on the horizon, which is the right thing to do and it also comes with the benefit of reducing their operating costs.
