Default Coast Guard: No oil leak from sunken rig off La.

NEW ORLEANS - No oil appeared to be leaking after a drilling rig exploded and sank in the Gulf of Mexico, the Coast Guard said Friday, though officials were trying to contain what spilled from the blast and prevent any threat to the coast's fragile ecosystem.

    Default same old same-old

Another reason to push for alternative energy like solar, wind and the others. But what can people do on a cloudy day and there's no breeze? How can a dynamic economy that is so busy growing continue to do so? It can't.

Planet Earth has been cooling and shrinking ever since its creation as a huge mass of swirling hot gases. So a growing economy has nowhere else to grow. That is why the astronomers are peering into outer space so urgently looking for another living planet they hope somehow to reach and colonize.

Meanwhile, our own forests are hacked down to make way for grazing land, houses, factories, etc.; fresh water is being depleted by the relentlessly growing population, the oceans are filling up with garbage, etc., etc, ad nauseum.

Obviously then, a growing economy on a shrinking planet has no future, so return the Earth to its natural order and live in peaceful cooperation with each other and in balance with the natural environment by recycling 100% of all waste and garbage and promoting peaceful, voluntary family planning clinics throughout every nation to reduce the human population. If not, ecocide and probable extinction are the consequences in most of our own lifetimes. The Green Revolution needs BOTH to act locally and think globally.
