Imperial domination is a human instinct that inspires men to invade, conquer and exploit other people around them, and the Chinese hierarchy is different only in its "Communist" style of invasion, conquest and exploitation, but with a similar impact on its victims as it displaces Tibetan culture in favor of its Han Chinese version of pseudo-socialist, state-regulated capitalism. Apparently, human instinct confounds all efforts to control it as "the more things change, the more they stay the same"; but a corollary mot could say: 'the more things stay the same, the more they change', the ever-growing mass of which dooms the natural environment to ecocide and extinction. We already know civilizations rise and fall, and, apparently, global biospheres are like all other forms of life as they are born, thrive for awhile, then decline and die. The tragedy for us humans is that we are the instinct-driven agency of that decline.
