Default 4 and 20 blackbirds, and 3,000, dead in the sky

BEEBE, Ark. -- New Year's revelers in a small Arkansas town were enjoying midnight fireworks when they noticed something other than sparks falling from the sky: thousands of dead blackbirds.

We see accumulating symptoms of chaos with yet another fatal collision between Mankind and Nature rushing toward their mutual wipe-out, probably in this decade.

Recent years, to protect the environment, governments of many countries have done a lot. Legislative steps have been introduced to control air pollution, to protect the forest and sea resources and to stop any environmental pollution. What's more, supermarkets, department stores and groceries in many places of the world have stopped giving out free plastic bags for a long time, but there are still many problems of environmental protection.

So, if all that is true, why did the birds suddenly fall out of the sky, and why have thousands of fish washed up dead on beaches? I suggest it may be the toxic background in the air and water has reached its "tipping point" after which the slightest glitch in bird or fish life cycles can kill them, like a fireworks display or a cold current. Meanwhile, the human population keeps on growing and producing more garbage and sewage, most of which ends up in the global ocean. Obviously, a growing economy on a shrinking planet has no future, but savvy businessmen don't want to hear that. Their growth agenda is instinctively immune to common sense.
