AFP - Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Thursday stressed that emerging economies were in no position to tackle climate change compared with developed countries which had caused the problem.
India is one of them. Its CO2 output is prodigious and so is its soot cloud at seven times the size of the country. Indian emissions affect the equatorial monsoon , Maldive food crop reduction and on up to soot deposits in the Arctic accelerating melting. Their TFR of 2.6 guarantees a crash.
