BP executives are in la la land, typically underestimating the damage they are doing and pretending that soon all will be right again. Meanwhile, the entire Gulf of Mexico and all its coastlines are very probably doomed to massive oil pollution, species extinctions and economic collapse, all because BP and Transocean ignored safety procedures to save money, resulting in criminally negligent homicide in the death of 11 of the workers. Yet, they asume they have more than enough money to pay for everything and pay a dividend to stockholders. Perhaps their lawyers can plead insanity and throw them on the mercy of the Court.
