I happen to be a resident of ND and it amazes me that wind energy (and transmission) is not being pursued more aggresively in my neck of the woods. There actually is some wind energy activity, just not as progressive as some of the states around us. 25% is ALOT of electricity.

Actually, I hunt birds and went this last weekend. We discussed the issue about towers effecting migration and thought it would not be a big deal. Then, yesterday, found some stats that cell towers kill quite a few birds. I do wonder how this would effect the bird population here (particularly the goose and duck migrations). Possibly there is a way to deter them?
