It is NOT global warming that is the most dramatic threat to life on Earth, but the toxic build-up in the soil, water and air. That build-up is provoking the intensification of storms, floods, droughts and wildfires, which will contnue to get worse until the life-supporting environment and human society both collapse. Then, as the coal-fired power plants, gas-burning vehicles, jet planes, garbage and sewage dumping all close down, the pollution will stop and the biosphere might possibly be able to heal itself, maybe. There is no way to accurately predict it because none of us will be alive to see it, everyone already having starved to death or been cannibalized. This is the reality of our human predicament, which of course only a very few have the courage to face honestly. It's despicable, but understandable that human beings cling to their fantasies relentlessly, like their "healthy growing economy". It's so pitiful.
