The Republicans are so utterly predictable. Their only objection to reducing greenhouse gases is the money it would cost with no profit in sight. But everyone is so addicted to economic growth they imagine global warming can be stopped merely by a few green technical reforms, regardless of how many billions of human beings are producing how many tons of garbage and air pollution. The human species has an obsessive-compulsive disorder and is blundering into self-extinction.
