ContributorNetwork - According to Reuters, the Obama administration has come under fire from environmentalists over its proposal for the Forest Planning Rule, a national forest policy that gives more authority to individual forest managers who oversee the management of 193 million acres of federal land. Environmentalists are arguing individual managers are being given too much power and not enough input will be considered when making major decisions about the management of the forests, including the wildlife and drinking water sources that lie on these lands.
