The deliberate exaduration of environmental statistics has been going on for so many years I can only suppose it is a deliberate inside wrecking job to discredit the environmental movement. Of course it is absurd for anyone to claim they know the date of the end of the World, and it is equally absurd for anyone to claim most wilderness animals will go extinct at a rate that would calculate to last year. So, why should anyone believe them, and why not just go right on growing the economy for fun and profit? That is the purpose of such phoney statistics. Nevertheless, the SYMPTOMS of ecocide and extinction are becoming more obvious with each passing year as the growing human population continues to consume this shrinking planet Earth. But most people don't want to hear that. Their instinct to grow, exploit and devour pushes them to assume it can go on forever, regardless of any evidence to the contrary. The businessman says, "I don't haver a problem with your environmental beliefs, but if you get in my way I will roll over you." That makes ecocide and extinction inevitable.
