Deforestation in Sierra Leone, like everywhere else, is caused by the growing human population, and they don't give a damn about the chimps, only their own self-defeating struggle to escape poverty by growing their economy into the forest. Thus, their inevitable fate along with all of humanity will be ecocide, when the global environment is so polluted no life can exist.
