Obviously, the Republicans see democracy as an annoying obstruction to their various corporate agendas.
Some Republicans. There are also crooked Democrats. There is an increasing amount of green Republicans and non-green Democrats, and insufficient really green people to really swing the vote. It is disgusting that there are fewer people who believe in AGW now than 5 years ago. There are also more of those who know about AGW who don't believe that we can do anything about it. Those of us who believe that we can reduce our fossil fuel use 90% within the decade needed before it becomes irreversible, are getting fewer. We know it will take a great mobilization similar to that against the Nazis and other Axis powers in WWII, to win this battle for future generations. I won't give up until the decade runs out. Until then, I will continue to try to educate children and adults, both Republican and Democrat, about the horrors (gently) of not stopping AGW and overpopulation.
