I recently read an article about the wind farm project on Wolf Island and it was very interesting to say the least. It is kind of hard to explain, but basically residents are becoming more and more frustrated with the turbines, from noise and shadows to vibrations and an overall unpleasant look. Well anywho, Recently CanWEA (Canadian Wind Energy Association) ran an ad featuring Former Frontenac Island Mayor Jim Vanden Hoek standing in front of four Wolf Island windmills, talking about how unbelievably incredible wind power is. Well they hired a hell of a photographer, because they took the photo on an angle that is in no way representative of what the wind farm actually looks like, bolstering over 30 turbines, not just 4.
